Anil Kapoor, Disha Patani, Aditya Roy Kapur starrer Malang goes on floor
Mohit Suri’s next project, which has an ensemble cast including Anil Kapoor, Disha Patani, Aditya Roy Kapur and Kunal Kemmu, went on floors today. The film’s official handle on Twitter announced the news saying: Aaj Se Malang!. It shared a picture of the clapboard from the Muhurat Puja. Kunal Kemmu shared the same picture on his Twitter and wrote: Om Namah Shivaay!!. The filming has started in Goa and the film will release in February next year.
Earlier, when Anil Kapoor announced his next project Malang along with a group picture with the star cast, fans couldn’t stop talking about how young the Mr India actor looked in the photo. Soon, memes around his eternal youth started doing rounds on the internet. Even cricketer Harbhajan Singh also took a jibe on his never-ending youth. Some even quipped that Anil Kapoor is ageing in reverse.
Director Mohit Suri is returning to direction after 2017’s hit film Half Girlfriend. The film starring Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor was based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel which goes by the same name. It became an instant hit among the younger lot of audience.
On a related note, reports are doing rounds that Disha Patani was not Mohit Suri’s first choice for Malang. Reportedly, the director wanted to rope in Badhaai Ho actress Sanya Malhotra in her place. Post a workshop with Disha Patani, he changed his mind and instead signed the MS Dhoni actress itself.
