Over the last few days, rumours were afloat that Shubhangi Atre, who plays the role of ‘Angoori Bhabhi’ in Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai, has called it quits to the show. There were reports that the TV actress would be leaving the popular comedy show to join politics. Now, Shubhangi has come to the forefront herself to speak on the ongoing issue. Clearing the air, the actress said that such rumours are simply baseless. Furthermore, she said that she loves being a part of Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai.
"I'm not quitting my show. I really don't know from where these baseless rumours are coming from. People had spotted me at some political event and even the ongoing track in the show is about me standing in an election. So maybe rumours are coming from there”, Shubhangi Atre was quoted as saying in a statement.
The actress says she enjoys playing her role in the show. "I'm enjoying playing the character and entertaining my fans," she added.
In May last year, Shubhangi had replaced actress Shilpa Shinde, who was originally playing the title role of Angoori bhabhi in "Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai!"
Recently, Shubhnagi wished all the best for her forerunner Shilpa Shinde and Vikas Gupta. The actress also appreciated the way Shilpa is playing the game. She also expressed that she holds nothing personal against her and she wishes all the best for her. She spoke about contestants in Bigg Boss 11 and also mentioned her favourite in a statement to Times of India.
