Talking about Ananya, her mom revealed that there has been rumour that Ananya was conceived before marriage as she was born before the Bhavna and Chunky's first anniversary. ''Ananya is literally a honeymoon baby. We were married in January 1998, and she was born in October. People were actually calculating if I conceived her before or after marriage. We still had to discover each other and then we had this beautiful baby. She has been with us from our first anniversary,'' the doting mom said.
Bhavna further added that she wanted a Sanskrit name for her daughter. Hence, they settled for Ananya, which means matchless. Chunky added, "Jiska koi muqabla kar nahi sakta."
Ananya claimed that she auditioned for the role of Shreya in SOTY 2. She was all set to leave for the US to pursue her studies at the University of Southern California when she came to know about the auditions and gave it a shot. For unversed, Student of the Year 2 revolves around a new batch of students of the prestigious Saint Teresa's College including Rohan (Tiger Shroff), Shreya (Ananya Panday) and Mia (Tara Sutaria), and their race to win the coveted Student of the Year trophy.
Lately, netizens have been obsessed with Ananya's sartorial choices, stunning photo shoots and Instagram posts. You can call it nepotism or anything you want but Ananya has already booked her second gig, the remake of 1978 comedy Pati Patni Aur Woh even before her first release. It also stars Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar in important roles.
