Actress Amy Jackson, who plays the female lead in Sohail Khan’s directorial ‘Freaky Ali’, has skipped the promotions of the movie on the show ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’. While her absence was quite noticed on the CNB, it has been reported that the actresses decided to give a miss because of its host Krushna Abhishek.
Reportedly, Amy wasn’t comfortable with the humour quotient on the show. Moreover she didn’t want to be a subject of roast by Krushna as she feels her Hindi is not apt.
The news was confirmed by Sohail Khan who had gone on ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’ to promote ‘Freaky Ali’ along with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Jas Arora.
“Wonderful girl that Amy is, she does have a problem with the kind of humour Krushna Abhishek subjects his guests to, on Comedy Night Bachao. Also, her Hindi is not up to the mark,” Sohail told an entertainment portal.
“We exempted her from the ordeal of being on CNB,” he added.
Promotions play a very important role in the success of the movie and it’s rarely a chance that any of the leads misses it. But with Amy it was different when it came to ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’.
Apparently, this is not the first time that a celeb has opted out of Krushna Abhishek's 'Comedy Nights Bacho'. Earlier, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan and Jacqueline Fernandez too avoided promoting their movies on the show.
Sohail, further explained the reason for promotion ‘Freaky Ali’ on CNB saying, “Actually, I was the first to agree to be the guest on the show. My association with Krushna goes back several years. I couldn’t say no to him. Once I agreed to be on the show, the floodgates were opened”.
Interestingly, Amy Jackson did accompany her team for the promotions on Kapil Sharma’s show, who is an arch competitor of Krushna.
‘Freaky Ali’ also features Arbaaz Khan and is produced under the banner of Salman Khan Productions. The movie is scheduled to release on September 9 and will be clashing with Katrina Kaif’s ‘Baar Baar Dekho’.
