Superstar Rajinikanth turned a year older today. On this occasion, many prominent faces including megastar Amitabh Bachchan showered his wishes on ‘Thalaiva’. Big B shared his message on the social networking site Twitter and wished Rajini greater glory, happiness and good health.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and cricketer Virender Sehwag also wished Rajinikanth long and healthy life. The southern superstar made appearance in some Bollywood movies and had also worked with many Bollywood actors in the past.
"It is Rajinikanth's birthday on Dec 12 and we wish him greater glory, happiness and good health," Big B tweeted on Monday.
Both Rajinikanth and Sr. Bachchan have worked together in films such as ‘Hum’, 'Geraftaar’ and ‘Andhaa Kaanoon’.
They've remained good friends over the years.
Rajinikanth, meanwhile, has requested his fans not to celebrate his birthday as a token of respect for former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, who passed away last week.
On the career front, Rajinikanth is busy shooting for Shankar's magnum opus, "2.O".
