A true legend in the Hindi film industry, megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been ruling the hearts of millions for over five decades now.
His fans are way too attached to him, such much so that people offer prayers and keep fasts every time news of the legend’s ill-health emerges.
No wonder then that Big B’s fans mark August 2 as his second birthday.
Wondering why?
Well, it is the day when Amitabh Bachchan ‘lived again’ after suffering a near-fatal intestinal injury during the shooting of ‘Coolie’ in 1982. In fact, he was clinically dead for a few minutes at the hospital post his second surgery.
However, he recovered successfully and since then this day has been marked as his second birthday.
While fans from across the country have been wishing Amitbah on this big day, son Abhishek too didn’t want to miss the chance to express his feelings for his father.
Junior Bachchan took to Instagram and shared an image of Big B from ‘Coolie’ with a nostalgic message.
“I can't even remember how many times I would drape a bedsheet in the same way and re-enact this sequence from "Coolie". Would make my friends play the role of Zafar and shoot me with a plastic play gun and I would play the part of Iqbal. Yup, I learnt very early in my life that God made only one Amitabh Bachchan. Happy second birthday Pa. You are my inspiration.#BigB #2882,” read the caption.
Sweet! Isn’t it?
On the other hand, Mr. Bachchan took to micro-blogging site Twitter to thank all his fans for their love and wishes.
Currently, Amitabh Bachchan is busy for Shoojit Sircar’s upcoming movie ‘Pink’ where he will be seen playing the role of a lawyer. The movie is scheduled to release on September 16.
