Megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s recent release ‘Pink’ has shown a phenomenal growth in the opening weekend. The movie has minted Rs 21.51 crores during first three days of release.
The movie, which had a slow start with a collection of Rs. 4. 32 crores on the first day, saw a spike on 77.08 % spike on second day and earned Rs. 7.65crores. Word to mouth publicity helped ‘Pink’ to witness a massive 120.83 % growth on the Sunday, and minted Rs. 9.54 crores.
Also starring Tapsee Pannu in the lead, ‘Pink’ has won rave reviews from the critics. In fact, Taran has also mentioned that ‘Pink’ is expected to go strong in the weekdays as well. If this turned out to be true, ‘Pink’, which was reportedly made with a budget of Rs 35 crores, is expected to recover the cost of production in its first week itself.

Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office report of the movie on micro-blogging site Twitter.
‘Pink’ unfolds a court-room drama revolving around three independent girl in the national capital who gets into trouble during a party with a group of boys. Big B plays the role of a lawyer in the movie.
This is the second time Shoojit has collaborated with Amitabh Bachchan. Earlier, they had come together in 2015 release ‘Piku’ also starring Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan. The movie was not just declared a hit at the box office, but also won various accolades including a National Award for Amitabh Bachchan under the category of best actor.
