TV and Film actor Alok Nath might be known for his ‘sansakri’ nature but his son seems to be miles apart from that reputation.

Shivang Nath, son of Alok Nath, was reportedly caught drunk driving on Monday night by the Mumbai Police.

He was nabbed after a chase on the streets of Mumbai. The police have impounded his car and he is being fined of Rs. 2,600.

The incident took place when Shivang Nath was returning from a birthday party. He was accompanied by three friends - including two women - when he was stopped by the police for an alcohol check.

As per the police, Shivang, instead of stopping, stepped on the escalator and tried to speed off.

Thereafter, police chased him and seized his car in suburban Bandra.

Shivang was allegedly drunk and didn't have a driving license either. The police say his women friends tried to shield him, arguing that they were driving.

Speaking over the issue, Deputy Commissioner of Police Ashok Dudhe informed that Police has charged Shivang with drink driving and driving without a license.

Besides he is also booked for disobeying the police. He was let off on the condition that he would show up in court for hearings, said the police officer.

News of his son's encounter with the law left Alok Nath, a popular TV and film actor, facing a fresh volley of "Sanskari" jokes on Twitter.
