New Delhi: ‘Udta Punjab’ has been the talk of the town since it was announced. All thanks to the interesting star cast of the movie.
‘Udta Punjab’ features Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Alia Bhatt.
Interestingly, Shahid and Kareena are working together after a long time. The last time they shared the screen space was in ‘Jab We Met’.
As the audience is waiting eagerly waiting for the movie, the makers have released the motion posters displaying the first look of the star cast.
Earlier, we saw the first look of Shahid, Diljit and Kareena, which was quite loved by the audience.
And we have the first look of the bubbly Alia. However, contradictory to the roles the diva has played so far in her movies, Alia’s look in ‘Udta Punjab’ has left everyone stunned.
The ‘Highway’ actress will be seen playing the role of a Bihari migrant. In fact, we also hear Alia speaking in Bhojpuri in the motion poster of her character.
Not just the audience, even her rumoured beau Sidharth Malhotra is going all praise for Alia’s look in ‘Udta Punjab’ and called it a "dramatic and imapctful" one.
He took it to micro-blogging site Twitter as tweeted, "Dramatic impactful transformation awaiting trailer Udta Punjab Alia In Udta punjab," Sidharth tweeted along with the poster.
‘Udta Punjab’, a neo-noir drama thriller, is directed by Abhishek Chaubey. Co-produced by Phantom Films and Balaji Motion Pictures, the movie tells the story of substance abuse in the Indian state of Punjab.
The film is slated to release on June 17.
