‘Aashiqui 3’, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt in the lead, has been one of the most touted sequels for 2017. However, as per the recent buzz the movie shoot has been postponed.
The movie which was said to hit the floors next year is being delayed owing to numerous changes in the script.
“There have been several creative changes in the script, hence the film has been pushed a bit. Earlier, Alia was supposed to start the film post ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ while ‘Sidharth’ was to do it after ‘Reloaded’, a source reportedly told an entertainment portal.
Interestingly, it will be the third time when rumoured couple Alia and Sidharth be seen romancing each other on the silver screen. The two made their debut together in 2012 release ‘Student Of The Year’ and was last seen in ‘Kapoor and Sons’ earlier this year.
While the audience are looking forward to see Alia-Sidharth in ‘Aashiqui 3’, the makers haven’t made any official announcement regarding the final cast of the movie.
However, Sidharth, in one of his interviews, did confirm that he is considering the movie opposite Alia Bhatt. Though he did averred that nothing about ‘Aashiqui 3’ is confirmed yet.
Interestingly, this movie will be the third instalment of the ‘Aashiqui’ series which stated in 1990. The second instalment of the franchise came in 2013 which marked the debut of Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur.
Currently, Alia Bhatt is busy promoting her upcoming movie ‘Dear Zindagi’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Helmed by Gauri Shinde, the movie is scheduled to release on November 25.
