Actor Akshay Kumar won National Film Award today for Rustom and movie buffs are showering their wishes on social media. As soon as Akshay was announced the Best Actor, people started congratulating him on Twitter.

Previously, when the nominations of Filmfare Awards were announced, a debate sparked on social media that despite having several hits in his kitty, why Akshay failed to get a single nomination. Movie buffs were sad and disheartened. However, Akshay later said that he didn’t deserve an award as there were more deserving actors than him.
But, now with Rustom, he finally has a prestigious award in his bag.
Actor Anupam Kher also congratulated the actor on his win. Akshay also shared a video on social media thanking his fans.
