Akshay Kumar has once again proved that he is the real ‘Khiladi’ of the box-office as his recent release “Jolly LLB 2” has been creating waves and breaking previous records.
Akki’s film has hit a grand total of Rs 185 crore worldwide till now, and has become the second highest worldwide grosser of 2017.
Trade analysts have predicted that the film may cross the double century figure within the next few days.
Although the film is still pretty far from matching the Shah Rukh Khan starrer “Raees” that released in January which collected Rs. 281.33 cr, it does manage to exceed the Hrithik Roshan starrer “Kaabil” that released alongside “Raees” and collected Rs. 177.46.
Until Sunday, the film’s gross domestic earning was Rs 153.76 crore, while the overseas earning stood at Rs. 31.48 crore.
“Jolly LLB 2” hit Rs. 110. 71 crore nett in 17 days, surpassing the lifetime collection of Akshay’s “Housefull 3”, which had collected a total of Rs. 109.14 crore.
The courtroom drama enjoyed a good opening on February 10 with Rs 13.20 crore. It went on to cross Rs 50 crore within three days, and entered the 100-crore club on its 12th day.
“Jolly LLB 2” is Akshay’s seventh film to enter the elite club, equalling King Khan’s count.

Directed by Shubash Kapoor the film which is a sequel to the 2013 Arshad Warsi – Boman Irani release “Jolly LLB” is said to be the first hit of 2017 as it is being well received by the critics and audience alike.
