Akshay Kumar starrer period war-drama Kesari in undoubtedly the most-awaited film by the actor. Not just the fans are excited to see the actor as Sikh in the film after his popular Singh Is King in 2008 but the story as well entice the audience to wish for an early release. On the other hand, Akshay Kumar is making it even more difficult for the fans to wait for the film by releasing sneak peeks from the film. On Monday, the makers of the film took to social media to share a new poster of the film ad also revealed that the trailer will be released on 21st of February.
On Tuesday, the actor dropped another fiery poster from the forthcoming film. He wrote, "Aaj meri pagdi bhi Kesari, jo bahega mera woh lahoo bhi Kesari, aur mera jawaab bhi Kesari."
Akshay Kumar took to his Instagram and wrote, “Unraveling the pages of history to the bravest battle ever fought. #GlimpsesOfKesari from tomorrow, are you ready?” In the poster, Akshay can be seen as Havildar Ishar Singh standing all alone against 10,000 Afghans. Karan Johar, who is producing the film, also shared the poster on Instagram and said, “Glimpses of the film will be out tomorrow!!! Trailer will release on the 21st of February!!!! The BRAVEST BATTLE EVER FOUGHT!! #KESARI releases 21st March!!! @akshaykumar @parineetichopra directed by ANURAG SINGH”
Kesari, which is based on the Battle of Saragarhi, also features Parineeti Chopra in a pivotal role. The battle was fought between the British Indian Army that consisted of 21 Sikh Soldiers and Afghan Orakzai Tribesmen in North-West Frontier Province. Earlier, the makers also revealed Akshay and Parineeti’s first look form the film. Parineeti shared the look on her Twitter and wrote, “Anytime I watched a war movie, it was the love story of those brave men that kept me going.. so proud to be a part of this epic experience!!! Thank you Akshay sir, Kjo and Anurag sir for allowing me to be a part of your vision. You all have made one of the most beautiful movies people will ever see!! People - Don’t miss it on 21st March 2019!!!”
Talking about his role in the movie, Akshay Kumar earlier said, “I have been shooting for ‘Kesari’ since the last one and a half months, and every time that I wear the taaj (turban) on my head, I am filled with pride.”
