Pad Man featuring actors Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte is all set to hit the cinema halls today. The movie deals with the subject of menstrual hygiene and creates awareness about sanitary napkins. It is based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, the man who developed low cost sanitary pads. Well, this is known to all that talking about periods is considered taboo in our society. Thus, to normalise the situations, celebs were lately seen giving and accepting Pad Man challenge in which they posed with sanitary napkins.
From Aamir Khan to Deepika Padukone, almost every celeb has participated in Pad Man challenge.
The movie has already received good reviews from many celebs and it has already been declared a hit by cinema lovers. It is yet to be seen if these talented stars manage to cast spell on the movie buffs.
Pad Man, directed by R. Balki was earlier scheduled to release on January 25 but to avoid clash with Padmaavat, Sanjay Leela Bhansali requested Khiladi Kumar to push the date.
Akshay’s last film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha based on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan entered the coveted Rs 100 cr club. It is yet to be seen if Pad Man becomes another consecutive hit of the actor.
