Superstar Akshay Kumar, who is cuurently basking in the success of his last release ‘Rustom’, revealed yesterday that next year too he will treat his fans with a movie in around Independence Day. Akshay took to social media platforms to announce that he will be collaborating with Neeraj Pandey for a movie titled ‘Crack’.

However, it seems that similar to this year Akshay won’t get a solo release at the box office. Media reports have it that next year too Bollywood will see a big clash on the Independence Day weekend as Akshay’s ‘Crack’ might go head on with superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s movie.

This Shah Rukh Khan movie will be the one which is directed by Imtiaz Ali and also features Anushka Sharma in the lead.

Though not much has been revealed about this project, reportedly, it will be titled ‘The Ring’. It is also being reported that Anushka will play a Gujarati girl in the movie and SRK a Punjabi tourist guide. Anushka’s character during her Europe trip will cross path with SRK, starting a love story. ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ couple has started preparing for their roles.

Media reports have it that Imitiaz Ali is also eyeing the Independence Day weekend on 2017.

If this happens, this will obviously become one of the most talked about Bollywood clashes given the superstardom status of both Akshay and King Khan. In 2017, SRK’s ‘Raees’ is also scheduled to battle it out with Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’ in January.
