Tamilrockers continue to function with impunity in India. After leaking a dozen of Bollywood as well regional films, the notorious online piracy group has leaked Akshay Kumar’s Kesari online. The film directed by Anurag Singh, is based on historical Battle of Saragarhi. It was released on the occasion of Holi and is doing quite well in terms of box office numbers. But, this dishonorable  act by Tamilrockers might affect its BO numbers.

Kesari is not the first Bollywood film to be leaked online. Ever week when a new film releases in a theatre, it is leaked online on Tamilrockers. So far, Simmba, Total Dhamaal, Thugs of Hindostan, Zero, Race 3, Kaala, 2.0, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and many others have become victim of online piracy. While the film industry is trying their best to curb piracy, Tamilrockers continue to function without any fear of law.

Coming to Kesari, this Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra starrer has become a massive box office hit in one day itself. It has raked in Rs 21 crore at the box office on Day 1, becoming the second biggest opener for Akshay Kumar. The box office numbers are expected to rise throughout the weekend. It’s a long weekend this week, which gives the makers a window of three days to make Kesari earn big at the box office.

Kesari Movie Review: Akshay Kumar’s take on Battle of Saragarhi is raw and compelling as it gets

Kesari has been lauded by film critics as well as the audience. India TV’s critic has rated this Akshay Kumar film three out of five stars. The review reads, “Making a war movie and that about a battle that’s been long lost in the pages of history is not a cakewalk. However, kudos to the casting and direction of the film, Kesari was unlike any other patriotic films with abundant amount of chest-thumping. Kesari is raw, touching and compelling in equal proportions. Had it been about a bunch of young men crying war at the top of their voice, the magic wouldn’t have been so picture-perfect. The film directed by Anurag Singh had its own moments of highs and lows, but the narrative itself sailed the boat to its shores.”
