New Delhi: While it is exhilarating to see A-listers battle it out at the box office, trade experts don’t particularly favour it. It was being said that two big movies, ‘Rustom’ starring Akshay Kumar and ‘Mohenjo Daro’ featuring Hrithik Roshan, will clash at the box office in August this year.
However, just like the clash of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’ and Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ did not see the light of the day, this too won’t happen. According to reports in media, Rustom’s makers are planning to release the film on August 5 as opposed to earlier when it was set to hit the screens on August 12 along with Mohenjo Daro.
“Until recently, makers of both films were not willing to change their initial release date, but now it looks like Rustom will arrive in theatres a week before Mohenjo Daro,”
a source was quoted by a leading daily.

Not only this, a report in the media suggests that Duggu personally met Akshay and requested him to make changes in the release date of ‘Rustom’.
"The decision was taken to avoid a situation where the business of both films would have been affected. Both films star big names and are highly anticipated; coming together on the same day would have been unwise,"
the source added.
Both the movie are grand in their own way. Ashutosh Gowariker’s Mohenjo Daro as the name suggests is about the civilisation and it is being said that it is the shortest Gowariker film, till date.
On the other hand, Rustom has got fans on their edge of seats since the first look released. In the film set in 1960’s Akshay essays the role of a naval officer. It is being said that the film has taken inspiration from the Nanavati case of 1959 in which Kawas Manekshaw Nanavati, a naval officer, killed his wife's lover by firing three shots.
