Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has denied being a part of Omung Kumar’s upcoming directorial ‘Five’ owing to his busy schedule.
“I am not doing Five. I had dates issues”, Akshay told a leading daily.
It’s been a couple of days that it was said that Akshay will be playing five characters in this psychological thriller. In fact, Omung has reportedly discussed the plot in detail with the Akki, and was quite excited to direct the ‘Rustom’ actor for the first time. It was also stated that ‘Five’ will hit the floors in March next year.
However, things didn’t work out between the two, as Akshay is preoccupied with his professional commitments in 2017
The actor has three movie lined up for release next year - Subhash Kapoor’s ‘Jolly LLB 2’ and Neeraj Pandey’s two directorial ‘Crack’ and ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’.
Akshay is currently shooting for ‘Jolly LLB 2’, which happens to be the sequel of 2013 release with Arshad Warsi in the lead. Khiladi Kumar will be playing the role of a lawyer along with Saurabh Shukla and Anu Kapoor. The actor has also been sharing pictures from the sets of the movie which shot its first schedule in Lucknow.
Post the release of ‘Jolly LLB 2’ in February 2017, Akki will start shooting for ‘Crack’ and ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ which are also expected to release by the end of next year.
In fact, the actor will also be seen in another Neeraj Pandey production ‘Naam Shabana’ in a special appearance. ‘Naam Shabana’, interestingly, happens to be the prequel of Akshay’s 2015 release ‘Baby’.
While Omung is now looking for a new cast for ‘Five’, it is rumoured that Akshay has been roped in for Rohit Shetty’s next production. The yet to be titled movie will apparently by directed by Priyadarshan.
However, an official confirmation about this is awaited.
