New Delhi: Actor Akshay Kumar who is gearing up for his upcoming release, ‘Housefull 3’ has reportedly been roped in for another film which has a weird name: ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’. The movie is reportedly a project by Neeraj Pandey with whom Akshay has previously worked in ‘Special 26’ and ‘Baby’.
Media reports have it that this film draws inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan’ campaign.
Apparently, Neeraj approached Akshay with the idea and the Khiladi Kumar was happy with the concept. Reportedly, the film will have loads of satire to tell a serious thing. Akshay, intrigued by the idea, has given a verbal nod for the film but is yet to sign the contract.

The film is expected to go floors in the first half of 2017 and is written by Garima-Siddharth, who wrote Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela. However, busy bee Akshay he will have to wrap up Hera Pheri 3, Jolly LLB 2 and Namaste England, before that.
Akshay will be next seen in Housefull 3 which is directed by Sajid-Farhad. The film, a third instalment of the Housefull franchisee has ensemble cast including Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Nargus Fakhri, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lisa Haydon, Jackie Shroff and Boman Irani. The film will release on June 3.
