Superstar Akshay Kumar has been reportedly signed in for director Omung Kumar’s next project. He will be seen playing multiple roles in the film which is said to be a physiological thriller.
The film is said to be titled ‘Five’ and the Khiladi Kumar might be seen essaying five different personalities.
Interestingly, before this Priyanka Chopra too had played multiple roles onscreen. She played 12 different personalities in ‘Whats Your Rashee’ opposite Harman Baweja. If we go back in time, many actors have done multiple roles including Rajinikanth (John Jhony Janardan), Mehmood (Humjoli), Amitabh Bachchan (Mahaan), Dilip Kumar (Bairaag) etc.
As per reports, Akshay has liked the plot of the film and has given nod to play the titular role.

It is worth a mention that Akshay Kumar has been quite experimental with the roles he plays on-screen. For instance, in the movie ‘Brothers’ he lost a lot of weight to get into the skin of the character , then in Dishoom his portrayal of gay character gained wide appreciation and his man bun started a new fashion. Nowadays, he is involved with Rajninkanth’s Robot 2, in which he is playing the main villain and his look has created a lot of buzz.
This year has been quite fruitful for Akshay with his three movies ‘Airlift’, Housefull 3 and Rustom entering the 100 crore club.
So, now that the actor is on board for this psychological thriller, the expectations would be quite high from the movie. And we are sure that Omung Kumar, who has directed movies like 'Mary Kom' and 'Sarabjit' in the past, would not disappoint the audiences.
Currently, Akshay is busy shooting for Jolly LLB 2. He is constantly updating his fans by sharing some pictures and videos from the shoot. The movie is slated to release next year.
