Akshay Kumar has been on the roll this year. Everything he is touching is turning gold and we have a proof. His three movies – ‘Airlift’, ‘Housefull 3’ and ‘Rustom’ have fared successfully at the box office.

But what’s more interesting is his performance in ‘Airlift’ and ‘Rustom’.

Both the movies were based on real life incidents and Akshay left no stone unturned in doing justice to his role.

After receiving accolades for his performances, there have been reports that Akki is now being considered for another biopic.

We are talking about the biopic of late Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray.

Reportedly, Akshay is being speculated to play the role of Thackeray in his biopic.

While his fans has ecstatic with the news, the actor, on the contrary, isn’t sure if he is the right choice for the movie

"I don't know whether I suit the character first of all, whoever makes it will have to first think if I suit the character or not."

When asked which actor he feels will be suitable, he said, "I don't know about it. Rather people should think about it, because it is not a small personality, it's a big personality that you're talking about. So I cannot answer it like this."

Akshay's name is one of the names that has cropped up for the biopic. Thackeray's grandson Rahul and his daughter-in-law Smita are currently in the process of making a biopic on the late leader.

About the trend of biopics, Akshay said, "I think biopics have been picked up by audience in a good way and it's great that biopic is about a great person's story which comes in front of the audience and they would love to see how they became great, so it's good to make biopics. Biopics work for India, so it's good that India is making it."

Akshay’s last release ‘Rustom’ is doing an amazing business at the box office and the star is over the moon with the success.

"I felt very good when the audience response was good. As far as the collections are concerned, I am not an 'antaryami', I can't say till where the collections will go. I can definitely say that it felt very good that the opening of the film was good,” Akshay told IANS.

"It was not confidence, I was nervous. when a film releases, no one knows about what is going to happen. And definitely, I had liked its screenplay and the script and that's why I had done the film. That was the only confidence, but there was nervousness," he added.

Akshay will next be seen in the film "Jolly LLB 2" and the sequel of Rajinikanth's "Robot".
