Akshay Kumar’s comedy drama ‘Heby Babby’ completed nine years of release on Wednesday. While director Sajid Khan is elated of the success of the movie, he has expressed his desire the movie forward and write a sequel.
Sajid Khan took it to micro-blogging site Twitter and announced his plans. He tweeted, “Thank you friends for all the love and good wishes #9YearsOfHeyyBabyy looks like I’ll have to start writing the sequel”.
Released in 2007, ‘Hey Babby’ was panned by the critics at that time. However, it received an overwhelming response by the audience.
In another post, Sajid thanked the film’s producer Sajid Nadiadwala for giving him an opportunity to start his career with the film.
“Thanks bhai (brother).. My bro Sajid Nadiadwala.. He backed my vision and launched me. #9YearsOfHeyyBabyy,” he wrote.
‘Hey Babby’ also featured Riteish Deshmukh, Vidya Balan, Fardeen Khan and Boman Irani. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan too was seen doing a cameo in the movie.
