New Delhi: Despite portraying angry young man characters on screen, actor Akshay Kumar is rarely seen losing his cool off-screen. The actor always has a smile on his face and greets everyone amicably. But, recently a comedy show got on the wrong side of Akshay.
The Khiladi Kumar was irked at a racist joke aimed at the actresses of his upcoming film, ‘Housefull 3’, so much so that he pushed the comedian off stage; suggested media reports.
The team of 'Housefull 3' — Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Lisa Haydon and Jacqueline Fernandez — was on the sets of 'Comedy Nights Bachao' as part of their film's promotions. The show, draws inspiration from roast, where celebs are grilled once they are ensconced in their places.
But, the joke went too far when comedian Siddharth Jadhav, made a racist comment on Lisa. He allegedly referred to Lisa as a kangaroo since she comes from Australia and later went on to call her ‘black African’.

This was more than Akshay could take as he went on stage in a bid to stop the comedian. Media reports revealed that all Akshay wanted to do was shove him to stop saying all these, but Sidharth landed a little further from the push.
Insiders also said that Jacqueline Fernandez was also a receiver of such nasty jokes. The two actresses were so upset with the entire episode that they were all welled up, reportedly. If gentleman Akshay Kumar hadn’t intervened, they would have broken into tears.
“But when it went out of hand, he couldn't control himself. He was upset that the comedians were aware that Lisa wasn't too well versed in Hindi and wouldn't even understand the few lines that the guys uttered. So, he thought it was all the more unfair that one would make fun of a person who didn't even know the language well,"
a unit member told a leading daily.
Not a good sense of humour after all. We think the writers of the show should have been a little careful while writing those lines. It is never a good idea to welcome guests on your show and not know the limit of one’s jokes.
