The trailer of the actor Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film ‘Jolly LLB 2’ was released last year. It received positive response from the audience. Akshay’s humour and brilliant supporting cast made it to the list of must watch movies. But, there seems to be a little trouble for the makers as a petition has been filed at the Bombay High Court seeking removal of ‘LLB’ from the title.
Advocate Ajaykumar S. Waghmare made an appeal to the court that along with the word ‘LLB’ in the title, many scenes in the trailer are harmful for the reputation of the Indian legal profession.
The petition stated that several funny antics and behaviours in the court premises shown in the trailer indicated that there is no respect for judicial discipline, proceedings and ethics in the Akshay Kumar starrer.
The advocate also requested the court to cease the trailer from social media and television.
In the trailer, Akshay was seen making humorous statements in the court. Actors Saurabh Shukla and Annu Kapoor also packed a powerful punch. The second trailer of the film will be released tomorrow.
The actor’s reaction on the matter is still awaited.
On a related note, ‘Jolly LLB 2’ is the sequel of 2013 film ‘Jolly LLB’ that features actress Huma Qureshi opposite Akshay. The flick is slated to release on February 10.
