New Delhi: A movie falling into legal trouble before release is not an uncommon sight. The reasons might be different but the trend is common - be it Udta Punjab, Jungle Book, Spectre or any other movie for that matter.

Now the latest name to add on to the list is Ajay Devgn’s upcoming movie ‘Shivaay’. As per reports, a complaint has been filed against the actor in regard of the movie’s poster for allegedly hurting religious sentiments.

The complaint was reportedly filed in Tilak Nagar police station in West Delhi.

Whoa! Salman Khan to turn ‘Sardar’ for Ajay Devgn’s ‘Son of Sardaar 2’?

In the complaint, the petitioner said that poster of ‘Shivaay’ shows Devgn climbing Lord Shiva's figure with shoes on, which hurts the sentiments of people having faith in Hinduism and Lord Shiva, according to media reports.

Interestingly, another poster of the movie shows Ajay Devgn holding Lord Shiva’s weapon – Trishul (made of ice).

The posters, which Devgn himself shared on Twitter few days back, give a hint about movie’s storyline. And it is evident that ‘Shivaay’ would somehow revolve around the powers of Lord Shiva.

The movie is slated to release on October 28, 2016.
