Ever since Rohit Shetty has announced the fourth installment of his popular ‘Golmaal’ franchise, speculations about the lead actress of the movie have been rife.
Several actresses including Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt were rumoured to be a part of the movie. However, those turned out to be mere rumours.
But looks like the makers of ‘Golmaal 4’ have finally zeroed in the leading lady for the movie.
According to the media reports, Parineeti Chopra has bagged the role in ‘Golmaal 4’ featuring Ajay Devgn in the lead.
It is being stated that director Rohit Shetty had considered Shraddha Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra for the role and was confused between the two. He reportedly met both the divas for narration, while Shraddha took time to think about the movie, it was Parineeti who agreed for the role instantly.
Apparently, it was Parineeti’s positive attitude that made Rohit finalise her for ‘Golmaal 4’. Besides, Parineeti, reportedly, loved the role and was quite keen to be a part of Rohit Shetty’s franchise.
“The role required a pretty, bubbly girl. She plays a character, who is not seen by anybody except Ajay Devgn's character and is his partner in crime. It's an interesting, quirky role and Parineeti loved it”, a source reportedly told an entertainment portal.
Earlier, Shraddha Kapoor had also rubbished the reports of being roped in for ‘Golmaal 4’. The actress stated that she hasn’t signed any movie other than the Haseena Parker’s biopic which is a Apoorva Lakhia’s directorial.
While the makers are yet to make an official announcement in this regard, it is touted that Parineeti has beaten other divas to star in ‘Golmaal 4’.
Besides Ajay Devgn, ‘Golmaal 4’ will also feature Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade in key roles.
