New Delhi: Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is awaiting release for her highly anticipated movie, ‘Sarbjit’. The trailer from the film looked promising and Bollywood has already given thumbs up to the film. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has sung praises for the movie already and many other stars who attended the premiere last night thought that Sarabjit Singh’s story needed to be told.
We all know that the role of Dalbir Kaur, Sarabjit’s sister played by Aishwarya Rai was not an easy task. The beauty went de-glam for the role and has perfectly portrayed the decades-long struggle of Dalbir.
Seeing her in this avatar, her hubby Abhishek is truly proud. Speaking to a leading daily he said,
“Sarbjit I think is a bit of a no-brainer because any actor would have agreed to be a part of that film and take up the role. It is a very powerful role and she has really gone for it. She has worked very hard for it. I have seen a few scenes from the film and it is a very powerful film. I really hope that the audiences like it and I hope she can enjoy the success of Sarbjit.”

He also added,
“Aishwarya Rai is an actor who started her career in a very de-glamourous role in Iruvar. She started her film life in an extremely de-glam avatar and she has always done that. She runs after good characters, and she has never sought the script which required her to flaunt her glamourous avatar. Even Jazbaa was a very brave choice for her to do because to come back with a film like Jazbaa was a big risk.”
We have also seen Ash yell in some scenes of the movie. But, Jr Bachchan asserts that his darling wife Aishwarya is a far cry from being an angry person. He said,
“Aishwarya is a very caring and loving person. She never raises her voice and you have to do something exceptionally bad to upset her. She is a calm person.”

Speaking about Ash’s determination, the real Dalbir Kaur had also said that she didn’t imagine the actress to have the same courage she had. But, Aishwarya proved her wrong and won her heart.
