New Delhi: Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan recently completed 15 years the Cannes International Film Festival. The diva stunned everyone carpet with her gorgeous looks as she walked down the red carpet.
However, it was her purple lips that bagged a lot of attention from everyone. In fact, Aishwarya was even trolled over social media because of her purple pout.
Indeed, the ‘Jazbaa’ actress took it all bravely. And now her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan has opened up about the much hyped ‘purple lips’ debate.
During a recent interview, when Big B was quizzed about Aish’s ‘purple lips’, he gave a calm reply saying ‘what is wrong with that’.
“No, I didn’t see it, but what is wrong with that? Social media gives someone the opportunity to express themselves. You’ve never had that opportunity before, you never knew what others were thinking about you, at least now you know. And the good part is, it lasts for a day or half-a-day; the next day, something else comes up. Things move so rapidly in today’s life that you don’t have time. One’s attention span is so limited and so small. Whether it is watching the news on TV, every two minutes you hear a bang in the middle of the most sincere news, purely because they don’t want you to get to your remote and change the channel. That’s how life has become. Social media gives everybody a voice, everybody an opportunity, everybody a democratic opportunity to express themselves. What’s wrong with that?” Amitabh told the leading daily.
Well, there couldn’t be a better reply than this.
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan is busy promoting his forthcoming movie ‘TE3N’. Also starring Vidya Balan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the movie will hit the screens on June 10.
