After a gap of 17 years, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anil Kapoor are set to sizzle again in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s next venture titled Fanney Khan, fresh reports suggest. The duo spelled magic with their power-packed performances in films such as Humara Dil Aapke Paas Hai and Taal and, to see them together on the big screen will definitely be a delight. The co-producer of the movie, Prernaa Arora recently said that the Aishwarya Rai and Anil Kapoor starrer will on the floors by the end of 2017.
Speaking to Mumbai Mirror, Prerna said, “We go on the floors by the year-end. It is a happy, slice-of-life film. We approached Aishwarya for the part and are glad she agreed to come on-board.” Praising the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actress, she said, ““Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is an icon by herself and working with her will be a sincere privilege. I have always admired her for the way she has made her mark in this industry and awaited an opportunity to work with her. Now that I got a role that I could only imagine her portraying it, I did not want to let this opportunity go. It's like a dream come true and I look forward to starting work with her”.
The actress was on a break due to her personal reasons, but recently she was quoted saying, “I took a break for the past five months because of personal reasons. I'm glad I did. It meant a lot for me personally so I didn't have any professional meetings. I started last week and I liked two subjects already. So, as and when we feel the need and the time is right, we will share the news with you. But I have just started listening to scripts. Until then, I had taken time off for work for my family, especially for my mother.”
Fanney Khan is a comedy musical which was initially supposed to be an official remake of Everybody’s Famous!, which has been directed by Dominique Deruddere.However, it was learnt that producers are making some changes to the script. Anil Kapoor was last seen in Dil Dhadakne Do while Aishwarya’s depicted the role of a poetess in Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
