Superstar Salman Khan, whose last release Tubelight, couldn’t generate heat at the box office, called the distributors to reimburse for the losses. A source has revealed that the superstar promised to give the amount by July end but he was shooting for his upcoming film Tiger Zinda Hai. Now, Salman is back in the town and he had reportedly paid back Rs 32.5 crore to the distributors, the half of total loss suffered by them. Well, few months back, Salman’s father Salim Khan assured that the losses will be compensated to the distributors. But, will Shah Rukh Khan also follow the same suit?
Well, the box office collection of King Khan’s latest release Jab Harry Met Sejal is not very encouraging. The movie didn’t earn expected amount at the box office and is still struggling to enter the coveted Rs 100 crore club. Interestingly, Maharashtra distributor Shreyans Hirawat, who distributed Tubelight, is also behind Jab Harry Met Sejal.
Now, Salman has made things little easier for Shreyans but it is yet to be seen if SRK takes the same route.
