It has been a couple of days when Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had slapped a notice to actor Shahid Kapoor after dengue larvae were found in his compound.
And now former beauty queen Sushmita Sen has been targeted by Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) for the same.
Sushmita was sent a notice by MCGM 381-b of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, after Aedes Aegypti mosquito breeding spots were located at her Khar residence.
Aedes Aegypti is said to be responsible for spreading diseases like dengue and chikungunya.
"During our inspection drive, the team of insecticides department detected three locations where the larvae for the Aedes Aegypti mosquito were found. First on the terrace in tarpaulin, second, odd articles on the terrace and third rain water collection in galleries," the MCGM official said.
As per the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, a case will be filed against Sushmita along with a fine of Rs 20,000.
