Sanah Kapoor to start shooting for Saroj Ki Shaadi
Shahid Kapoor’s sister Sanah Kapoor who was first seen in Alia Bhatt-Shahid Kapoor starrer Shaandar, is all set to come back with another film Saroj Ki Shaadi. This Abhishek Saxena directorial will be a rom-com that Sanah is all geared up for. She made her debut alongside brother Shahid Kapoor and even though Shaandar was a dud on the Box Office, Sanah managed to woo the audience with her dance moves and gorgeous smile. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Saroj Ka Rishta deals with the culture of body shaming in India. It is likely to go on floors this month, and Sanah will start shooting for the same in August. The film will be shot in Ghaziabad and Mawana.
While talking about the film, director Abhishek Saxena told Mumbai Mirror, “As a fat person, I have noticed that body-shaming doesn’t happen only with those who are on the heavier side, but also with thin people. The idea germinated from there. The film essentially revolves around a father-daughter relationship with Kumud Mishra and Sanah at the centre. There is also a love triangle with the two heroes Gaurav Pandey and Randeep Rai.”
Talking about Sanah’s role in the film, he said, “She is like Saroj in real life too. Her character shares a fabulous relationship with her father who is worried about being separated from her when she gets married and insists that she find a man who can stay with them.”
Sanah is also very excited about her role in the film and can’t wait to start prepping for the upcoming shoot. She said, “I am looking forward to mould myself into someone who is from a completely different culture. It’s mysterious and offers great scope for exploration.”
