Superstar Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar did wonderful collection in China. The movie garnered love from the cinema lovers of the country and now it has made its place in the list of top 5 worldwide highest-grossing Bollywood films of all time. Interestingly, three films of the list are of Aamir. Dangal collected Rs 1908 crore whereas PK minted Rs 831 crore. It goes without saying that Aamir enjoys huge popularity in China as well.
China is proving to be a profitable market for Bollywood films. Lately, Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan also received overwhelming response in the country. Irrfan Khan starrer Hindi Medium is the next film to release in China.
On a related note, Secret Superstar narrated the story of a young girl who aspired to become a singer. However, her father’s fear forced her to hide identity while uploading her first Youtube video. Zaira Wasim played the lead in the film whereas Aamir was seen playing a cameo. The movie was directed by Advait Chandan. Dangal, on the other hand was based on the life of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and showcased his struggle to make his daughters world champions. The movie received positive reviews and broke many records at the box office.
