After 11 years, John Abraham and director Nikkhil Advani team up for ‘Batla House’

After filling the air with romance with ‘Salaam-e-Ishq’, versatile director Nikkhil Advani will be reuniting with Bollywood actor John Abraham for their upcoming flick ‘Batla House’.

Written by Pink, Airlift, Raid fame Ritesh Shah, Batla House will be shot across Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, and Nepal. Bollywood critic and trade analyst confirmed the news through his social media post. He wrote, .“John Abraham and director Nikkhil Advani team up again... Nikkhil will direct John in #BatlaHouse... Starts Sept 2018... Written by Ritesh Shah... Will be filmed in Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, and Nepal... Nikkhil last directed John in #SalaamEIshq.”

Nikkhil Advani’s last directorial venture was Katti Batti starring Kangana Ranaut and Imran Khan, which failed to amaze us at the box office. On the other hand, John Abraham’s last release was Force 2. Now the actor is gearing up for his upcoming release, Parmanu.

Nikkhil Advani made his directorial debut in 2003 with Kal Ho Naa Ho starring Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta, and his follow-up film, Salaam-e-Ishq, was also a multi-starrer. The movie featured Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Akshaye Khanna, Ayesha Takia, Govinda, and others. It had multiple storylines centered on the themes of love and romance but was declared a critical and commercial failure. In the film, John Abraham played the role of a Hindu man who marries a Muslim woman (played by Vidya Balan).

In his upcoming film Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, John Abraham plays the role of Capt. Ashwat Rana who leads the nuclear bomb tests conducted by the Indian Army in Pokhran, Rajasthan in 1998. The film is scheduled to release on May 25, 2018. Earlier, the movie was supposed to clash with Harshvardhan Kapoor’s ‘Bhavesh Joshi Superhero’ but now the makers have shifted the Kapoor flick to June 1.
