Ranbir Kapoor’s sizzling chemistry with actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in their upcoming movie ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ has been setting the screens on fire. Their intense intimate scenes have set the tinselvile talking and everyone wants to have more and more of this hot pair.
But not many are aware of the fact, that this isn’t Ranbir-Aishwarya’s first movie together. Instead, the two have worked together in a movie 18 years ago.
We are talking about Aishwarya Rai’s 1999 release ‘Aa Ab Laut Chalen’ opposite Akshaye Khanna, which happened to be Ranbir Kapoor’s first step in showbiz.
No, RK didn’t act in the movie. Instead, he was an assistant director of the movie, which was his father Rishi Kapoor’s directorial debut.
‘Aa Ab Laut Chalen’ was a movie based on how NRIs lose connection with their families in India. The movie also featured veteran actor Rajesh Khanna and Moushmi Chatterji.
Though the movie tanked at the box office, it is once again in the headlines after almost two decades because of Ranbir-Ash.
In fact, the two even got clicked during the shooting of ‘Aa Ab Laut Chalen’ and their picture is going viral for all the right reasons.
The picture was shared by writer-director Rumy Jafry on micro-blogging site Twitter.
One can’t miss Ranbir’s teenage innocence in the pic. After all, the actor who is celebrating his 34th birthday today was just sweet 16 at that time.
The Bachchan bahu, on the other hand, wouldn’t be much pleased to see pic. Going by the fashion statement Aishwarya flaunts at present, her appearance in this pic is quite contradictory to her current fashionista image.
Nevertheless, Ranbir-Aishwarya are all set to take over the silver screen together for the first time. In fact, their passionate chemistry has already overshadowed Ranbir’s pairing with Anushka Sharma to a great extent.
Also starring Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ marks Karan Johar’s comeback in direction after four years. The movie is scheduled to release on Diwali this year along with Ajay Devgn’s ‘Shivaay’, making it one of the biggest box office clashes of the year.
