Despite being released amidst much of the controversies, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ continues to spread its magic at the box office even after four days of release.

The movie which saw a dip in its collection in the weekend due to Diwali, saw a huge jump on Monday as it minted Rs. 17.75 crore at the box office.

Interestingly, the collection by ADHM on the fourth day was much higher than it did on the day of its release.

Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the collections of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ on Twitter and stated that the movie is expected to go strong in the coming days.

Interestingly, the Karan Johar directorial has surpassed the first Monday collection of Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ which has been the biggest hit of 2016 so far.

‘Sultan’ had earned a total of Rs. 15.54 crore on the first Monday. Notably, Monday happened to be the sixth day of release for ‘Sultan’ given that it was released on Wednesday.

Besides, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ has now the second highest Monday collections as the first place is held by Akshay Kumar’s ‘Rustom’ which earned Rs. 17.81 crore.

Talking about the overseas collection, ADHM saw a hike there as well and has raked up a collection of Rs. 43.72 crores so far as mentioned by Taran Adarsh in his tweet.

So far, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ has become the highest opener for Karan Johar and highest opening weekend in overseas for both KJo and Ranbir Kapoor both.

Considering the stir about the release of the movie, it has been doing a commendable business at the box office. The movie was targeted by Raj Thackeray led MNS for featuring Pakistani actor Fawad Khan. In fact, there were reports that the movie might not be allowed to release given the ban on Pakistani actors in India.

‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ also stars Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai in key roles, while Shah Rukh Khan, Fawad Khan, Lisa Haydon and Alia Bhatt are seen doing cameos.
