Actor Dileep who has been arrested over sexual harassment and kidnapping of a Malyalam actress, is now making headlines for a shocking reason. The popular face of the Telugu film industry was married to a distant cousin from Aluva before he tied the knot with Manju Warrier, fresh reports reveal. Further, the police investigating Dileep’s case reported that the secret marriage took place at a registrar office prior to the actor’s film debut in 1990. At present, the King Liar star is married to South Indian actress Kavya Madhavan. The duo tied the knot on 25 November 2016.
Buzz has it that the actor didn’t get an official divorce from the woman in question, who is reportedly settled in the Gulf at present. It must be noted that Dileep married Manju Warrier on October 20, 1998. Soon after their wedding, the actor shot to stardom.
However, things took a turn for the worse for Dileep following rumours about his affair with actress Kavya Madhavan, his current wife. Thus, Dileep and Manju got divorced in 2015. The celeb duo have a daughter, Meenakshi.
Kavya was recently questioned by special investigation team (SIT) in connection with abduction and rape of the South Indian actress.
The officials revealed that the interrogation took place at the ancestral house of actor Dileep, who has been arrested in the case. More details about the interrogation are yet to be disclosed. Meanwhile, magistrate court has extended the remand period of the actor till August 8. The court is also considering the bail application by prime conspirator Pulsar Suni and the argument over it will continue.
The Malyalam actress was abducted and allegedly molested inside her car for nearly two hours on February 17 night and later escaped in a busy area in Kochi.
