Actress Zaira Wasim who rose to stardom after playing the role of young Geeta in the super hit ‘Dangal’ became the fresh victim of social media trolls, after she paid a visit to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, few days ago. Many prominent faces from the industry came to her rescue, now onscreen father and superstar Aamir Khan has also opined views in her support.
Aamir took to micro blogging site Twitter to assure Zaira that all of them were with her. He further appreciated Zaira’s work, and said that hardworking kids like her are role model for kids not only in India but across the world. He also called the little lady his role model.
Aamir said, “The beauty is that bright, young, talented, hardworking, respectful, caring and courageous kids like you are a role model for kids not only in India, but across the world.”
The actor also made an appeal to people to leave the girl alone keeping in mind that she is just 16 yr old.
Zaira was trolled on Twitter after she shared her picture with CM Mehbooba Mufti. The young girl later issued an apology saying that she didn’t want people to consider her a role model. She later deleted the post.
Zaira said, “I am being projected as a role model for Kashmiri Youth. I want to make it clear that I do not want anyone to follow in my footsteps or even consider me as their role model.”
After this many Bollywood celebrities like Anupam Kher, Javed Akhtar, Swara Bhaskar etc raised their voice in her support.
