After breaking all records, Superstar Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ has become the highest grosser of 2016. The movie was not only lauded by critics, but is also performed tremendously well at the box office, with its domestic collection speeding towards Rs 350 cr. Aamir is overwhelmed by the response as he took to social media to thank everyone.
Aamit took to micro blogging site Twitter and thanked his fans for making ‘Dangal’ a big hit. He also thanked his director Nitesh Tiwari for giving him the opportunity to become the part of the flick.
He tweeted, “I am absolutely overwhelmed with all the love that Dangal has got. It is one of the most passionate responses I have ever received. I want to thank everyone for owing the film as their own. It’s the biggest compliment a creative person can receive. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. And thank you Nitesh sir. Love. a.”
Clearly the star is very happy with the love that people have showered on him. The flick has also surpassed the lifetime business of ‘PK’.
‘Dangal’ is based on the real life story of Mahavir Singh Phogat and his struggle to make his daughters wresting champions in the male-dominated society. Within three days of its release, ‘Dangal’ minted Rs 100 cr and is already doing wonders at the international box office.
