New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s upcoming movie ‘Dangal’ is making headlines these days.
The actor, who is playing the role of wrestler Mahavir Phogat, recently unveiled his new look from the movie, and his muscular appearance has got the industry talking.
While everyone is excited to watch Mr. Perfectionist as wrestler on screen, the release of ‘Dangal’ has been quite speculative. In fact, it was also reported that the movie might get postponed to 2017 because of Salman’s Eid release Sultan which also revolves around wrestling.
Now as per fresh reports in media, Aamir has changed the release date for the movie which was said to be release on December 23, 2016
Interestingly, 'Dangal' will have an advanced release and will hit the theatres on December 16 which is against the expectations of it being postponed.
“The release date is not December 23 now. Aamir and UTV plan to release ‘Dangal’ a week ahead on December 16. An official announcement will be made soon,” a source reportedly told a leading daily.
Looks like the makers are quite confident with this date of release as this could probably help ‘Dangal’ in its business at the box office.
“Releasing the film a week before will ensure the film has three weeks of free run till the second week of January, much like it did with ‘PK’ and ‘Dhoom:3’,” the source added.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Dangal’ also star actors Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra.
