New Delhi: Superstar Aamir Khan, who has been quite vocal about the plight of the downtrodden, recently did another commendable task. He indulged in social work in Amravati to build a road.
The actor was accompanied by Marathi actress Sai Tamhankar. At the event, Aamir urged people to save water and do their bit for the drought struck farmers.
Saddened by the way lakhs of farmers are driven to end their lives because of drought, Aamir discussed the issue with Maharashtra government. He also paid a visit to villages in Beed to review projects his NGO along with Satyameva Jayate have taken up. The organisation aims to create water resources in the rain shadow region.
While in Amravati, Aamir Khan told the farmers that the entire film industry stands with them at this time of need.

It is also being said that soon Aamir will start an initiative to adopt villages.
Aamir Khan, with his deeds has once again that he is not only a cine hero, but a hero in real life too.
On the work front, Aamir Khan is busy shooting for ‘Dangal’. The movie is the story of the wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, who raised his two daughters despite ordeals and made them National level wrestlers.
