A Gentleman starring actors Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez released recently and the film is still struggling to mint good amount at the box office. According to the figures shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the weekend collection of the film was Rs 13.13 cr and the film had collected Rs 2.03 cr on its fourth day. This is known to all that self-proclaimed godman Ram Rahim was to be sentences yesterday. Thus, to avoid some unpleasant circumstances most of the people refrained from coming out of their homes and this could be one if the reasons film didn't earn good amount on its fourth day.
The movie earned Rs Rs 4.04 crore on the opening day and Rs 4.36 cr on the second day. On its third day, it minted Rs 4.73 making its three-day collection Rs 13.13 cr.
Taran took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share figures. He tweeted, “#AGentleman DISAPPOINTS... Fri 4.04 cr, Sat 4.36 cr, Sun 4.73 cr. Total: ₹ 13.13 cr. India biz... Overseas weekend: $ 1.1 mn [₹ 7.03 cr].”
Sid and Jacqueline’s film opened to mixed reviews and was not appreciated by critics. In the film, Sid was seen in two different avatars and actor Suniel Shetty made his comeback after a long gap. Both the actors have earlier worked together in Brothers. The movie is directed by Krishna D.K. and Raj Nidimoru. It is yet to be seen if Sid and Jacqueline manage to win hearts with A Gentleman.
