Bollywood ushered in the season of awards with 63rd Jio Filmfare Awards hosting the gala ceremony on Saturday night. The red carpet of the awards’ night was graced by who’s who of Bollywood including Badshah of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan and Khiladi Akshay Kumar. King Khan became the host of the night and floored the audience with his charm, like usual. SRK was backed by filmmaker Karan Johar, who anchored the night with the Raees actor.

Shah Rukh Khan danced to the tunes of a custom-made song dedicated to the Filmfare black lady, talking about the importance of it. The performance was choreographed by Main Deewana mastermind Ganesh Hegde. SRK wore a black and red custom made outfit and entertained the audience with his trademark style.

The highlight of the evening was Shah Rukh Khan dancing to the tunes of Salman Khan’s hit Swag Se Swagat, after having a video chat with him. He also reiterated his own dialogue ‘Ammi Jaan Kehti Thi’ from his superhit Raees.

Talking about Ranveer Singh, our words fell short. The maverick of Bollywood surely knows how to make headlines. Instead of showing up in the trademark black tuxedo, the Padmaavat actor decided to pay a tribute to Bollywood with a custom-made suit. He had the posters of all the blockbusters of Bollywood printed on his suit. Such a quirky outfit, isn’t it?

He also lip-synced Bappi Lahiri’s popular songs, paying a tribute to the Bengali singer. The best part was when Shah Rukh Khan asked him to explain why he’s wearing such a ‘colourful’ outfit. Owing to his wits, Ranveer was quick to answer. He said people only watch movies, but he wears them as well.

Akshay Kumar was the Bollywood actor who graced the event after a hiatus of 6 years. He set the stage ablaze with his powerful performance. He was also seen rehearsing with Ranveer Singh just few hours before the ceremony.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao also had a Bareilly Ki Barfi moment on the stage.
