Bollywood diva, Shraddha Kapoor rings in her 30th birthday today and the actress is all set to party high with her girls gang abroad.
Reportedly, the actress has a planned to have a birthday blast in Paris with all her close ones. This actress is often lauded for her extraordinary acting, dancing and singing skills but we hardly know about challenges she faced before establishing herself in B-town.
Here are some rare facts about Shraddha:
1. Shraddha couldn’t pursue her studies:
In order to follow her childhood dream of becoming an actor, Shraddha left her graduation in midway. The actress was enrolled to Boston University for a graduation course, when she was approached by film producer, Ambika Hinduja for a film, ‘Teen Patti’, which Shraddha considered as the biggest opportunity and decided to quit studies.
2. She faced rejection initially:
Shraddha was even rejected for a film by the popular director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Yes literally! Reportedly, Bhansali has earlier approached Shraddha for a film titled as, ‘My Friend Pinto’. Later, due to some unknown reasons, he dropped Shraddha’s name from the project and replaced her with actress Kalki Koechlin. Sources revealed that Shraddha went into depression phase after this incident.
3. Shraddha’s connection with Lata Mangeshkar:
It is a known fact that Shraddha is niece of veteran actress Padmini Kolhapure but people hardly know about her connection with legendary singer, Lata Mangeshkar. So here is a surprise for you that the actress is grand-niece of Lata Mangeshkar.
4. Aashiqui 2 was not her debut film:
Although, ‘Aashiqui 2’, is considered as her debut film but very few know that ‘Luv Ka The End’ was Shraddha’s first film. Though, the actress rose to fame with her second film ‘Aashiqui 2’.
5. In the year 2013, Shraddha Kapoor was declared the 5th ‘Most Beautiful Women’ according to FHM.
6. Shraddha will now be seen in the movie ‘Half Girlfriend’ which is Chetan Bhagat’s novel adaptation.
