Kareena Kapoor Khan was supposed to play Leela
The original choice for Leela’s role was Kareena Kapoor Khan. However, she opted out of the film, because she was also offered Karan Johar’s Gori Tere Pyaar Mein at the same time, and she wanted to do that. But her team later went on record to say that it was due to ‘date issues’
Imran Abbas was the first choice for Ram
Ranveer Singh wasn’t the first choice for the role of Ram! Pakistani actor Imran Abbas, who was seen in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016) playing Anushka Sharma’s boyfriend, was originally offered the part. But he turned it down due to “contractual obligations”.
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are coming together again for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati and, we surely can’t keep calm. Currently, the film is facing the protests in Bengaluru against its release. The movie has been in limelight ever since its first poster was out. Various religious organisations are demanding to stall the release of the film saying that it portrays Rani Padmini in bad light and has distorted the historical facts.
