New Delhi: Superstar Salman Khan, who got acquitted in 2002 Hit and Run Case on December 10, last year, might again have to face legal trouble.

Niyamat Shaikh, who was allegedly hit by Salman Khan’s car in 2002, approached Supreme Court on Wednesday challenging Bombay High Court’s decision.

Shaikh, in his plea, has requested that his plea should also be heard while deciding the appeal filed by the Maharashtra government against Khan's acquittal

The petitioner has sought setting aside of the high court judgement and directing Salman Khan and Maharashtra government to pay compensation for his loss.

Shaikh, claiming to be a daily wage-earner, said that the accident has left him with permanent disability and his family is living in miserable situation since then as he was the sole bread winner.

Family members of the victim who lost his life when Khan's vehicle allegedly ran over him have also approached the apex court against the Bombay high court order acquitting Khan to sought compensation.

The accident killed one person and left four others injured when Salman’s land cruiser rammed into a bakery during early hours of morning. Today, after 14 years of the accident it is still not established in court whether Salman was driving the car or his driver.
