Rajinikanth’s 2.0 is not only the costliest Indian film being made, but the buzz around it has made it the most awaited film as well. Another poster of 2.0 has been revealed showing Akshay Kumar’s daunting avatar which left the fans more excited than ever. After a long time, Akshay is breaking through his good boy image and playing an antagonist on silverscreen. Before this, he had played a negative role in Ajnabee which starred Kareena Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Bipasha Basu.
He might have played the evil character a couple of times before but undergoing jaw-dropping transformation is a first time for the actor. He will be playing the role of a self-obsessed scientist Richard, while Rajinikanth will reprise his role as scientist Vaseegaran. The film also stars Amy Jackson in supporting role.
In the grand audio launch of the film in Dubai, Akshay Kumar said, “Rajini sir is the real superstar. I would like to thank Shankar sir for giving me the opportunity of working with a legend like Rajinikanth. I could’ve never imagined that I will get a chance to work in such a big and costly film like 2.0,” Akshay also added, “I have done 130 films (in Bollywood). 2.0 was my 131st film. I can only say that during the making of those 130 films, I got to learn little from every film, but I was learning throughout the shooting of this film.”
2.0 is scheduled to release on 25th January 2018 facing a clash with another Akshay Kumar film Padman, helmed by R. Balki.
