KT Rama Rao on Congress-TDP alliance

"When the joined thieves, after having given misgovernance for 65 years, are coming together this time, a golden opportunity has emerged to hit two birds with one stone. I appeal to you not to lose the opportunity," TRS leader and minister in the caretaker government KT Rama Rao said on Saturday.

The alliance between the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party for the Telangana Assembly polls is an opportunity to teach the two parties a lesson for their misrule of over 60 years, he said while addressing a gathering in Hyderabad.

Rao further hit out at TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and said his party would teach Naidu a lesson.

"He (Naidu) is overestimating his strength... Definitely, here, you know what he does. Money and media. All his politics is about having them as shield. Definitely, when the time comes, probably nobody knows better than KCR on how to teach Chandrababu Naidu a lesson," he said.

Rao expressed confidence that TDP would be rejected and said Naidu was 'driven away' to Amaravati following the cash-for-vote allegations.

Alleging that Naidu had interfered in Telangana, he said the TRS would take on Naidu politically.

"We don't have any intention to trouble anyone. But, one thing I say clearly is that Chandrababu Naidu, as elders say, an ant also bites if a finger is put into the anthill. True? Chandrababu Naidu put his finger (interfered) in Telangana. What do we do? Should we also see what he is upto," he said.

"One thing I say, KCR does have a thought to form a federal front at the national-level - an alternative without the Congress and the BJP, if necessary, tomorrow, to take on Chandrababu Naidu, deal with him politically... to interfere in Andhra also," he said.
