Eleven rebel leaders of Rajasthan unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have been expelled from the primary membership of the party for six years for contesting against the official party candidates in the upcoming assembly polls.
The assembly elections are scheduled to be held on 7 December. It will be held in a single phase. Counting of votes will take place on 11 December.
The saffron party had won a majority in the last elections in 2013.
