Rajasthan Minister and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Surendra Goyal resigned on Monday from the primary membership of the party.
His resignation has come hours after the saffron party dropped his name from its first list of candidates declared for the upcoming assembly polls in the state. The BJP on Sunday released the names of 131 candidates for Rajasthan assembly polls.
Elections are scheduled to be held on December 7.
Goyal wrote to the state BJP president Madan Lal Saini and asked him to accept his resignation.
